South London Nappies is a parent-led social enterprise nappy library, (not a nappy laundry service) which is self funded by hires and donations, and staffed by volunteers.
We hire washable nappies throughout South London and provide advice and guidance on the use of cloth nappies.
Our kits are available to hire for anyone who can collect from our bases in SE25, CR0 and BR6.
All our kits come with everything you need to use cloth nappies full time - except detergent and a washing machine!
All standard kits contain the same types of nappies, but not all kits contain the same brand.
These kits are suitable from birth, and contain approximately 50 nappies, (sample kit list available on request) and all the accessories that you would need to use cloth nappies full time from birth if that was your preference.
Nappies in this kit are sized from 7lbs to 20lbs (3kg to 9kg), and will fit the average baby up to 6 months or so.
These kits are suitable from around 12lbs (5kg) and contain approximately 25 nappies (sample kit list available on request) and all the accessories that you would need to use cloth nappies full time.
Minimum hire period 1 month.
Under 10 items - £3 per month
11 to 25 items - £5 per month
26 to 50 items - £7 per month
Our reusable nappy kits can be hired on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis depending on your requirements. Hires start from just £1.50 per week (deposit may be required).
We hold regular free public demonstrations in Croydon and surrounding areas in South London. Please see our Facebook page for details.
Private demonstrations can be booked and will incur a small fee. Please email southlondonnappies@gmail.com to discuss your requirements.
Very happy we hired the kit as it helped us find the brand of washable nappies we went on to buy. Trying to buy them without hiring first would have been really difficult, as there's so many different ones to choose from I didn't know where to start! Thank you!
I was so grateful to be able to try reusable nappies before making the leap to buy them. It also helped convince my husband that the extra work involved really wasn’t that much. Thank you!
